This LBD from BB Dakota is so 1950s glamour. Pair it with crimson lips, a classic updo and these amazing Louboutins that are 10 times (literally) more expensive than the dress. New camera

I just got my new Canon Rebel XSi yesterday, and I'm excited beyond words! Remember when you would get that toy you always wanted as a kid and you just would not put it down? Well that's pretty much how it's been for me - I've had the camera around my neck for the past 24 hours. I'll be posting photos next weekend, as I still have to get a memory card converter. Anna Sui's new Gossip Girl inspired line for Target is ooh la la sexy and so adorable! My fav is the white lace dress with the flirty baby blue ribbon - so cute with a pair of maryjanes and a huge bow headband, like this one from Ban.Do. Gloomy disposition

So the weather in good ol' upstate New York is approaching 90 degrees, and I'm a huge lover of the heat. So much so that I book my Las Vegas vacations in August. So why am I in such a blah mood?

Gorgeous days like these remind me of the life I had three years ago, before full-time jobs, car payments and DVR as my main source of entertainment. I remember spending lazy June days outside at my apartment soaking in the rays on the rooftop deck, only getting up for a popsicle or a refill of pink lemonade. I would stay out there until my skin felt like it was about to boil off or until it was time for me to go work the phones as a salon receptionist.

Those are the days I think about now, cooped up in an office with air conditioning and a complete lack of windows. I just wish summer vacations lasted a lifetime.

Maybe I'll just do this on my lunch hour instead:

Love21 is Forever 21's new contemporary collection. Some (OK most) pieces from Forever 21 look and feel cheap, but this collection looks luxe. I haven't had the chance to see it in person yet (I don't think my Forever 21 carries it yet), but I have high hopes when my order comes in the mail!

So I'm totally in love with these posters from The Love Shop. I might have to add that I already fall for any design that includes the beautiful French language or the Eiffel Tower. I love the way the language escapes your lips, how it looks written out and the romance behind the culture. But these prints would be so adorable in black frames above your couch. J'adore!

Great molasses

Sundays are my day to bake, and today I'm making these delicious molasses cookies. I add an extra 1/2 cup of dark brown sugar and a splash of vanilla extract - makes all the difference.

I'm just a girl

Tonight I'm going to see No Doubt in concert and I'm so psyched. No Doubt was actually the first concert I ever went to when I was 12. Eleven years later, and they're still my favorite band. Gwen Stefani was my fashion role model growing up - and still is. I always loved her bedazzled bra straps, DayGlo bikini tops and bold scarlet lips. She's the main reason I had pink hair for a semester in college.

I seriously can't keep up with all the other fashionistas on The Outnet. I know they're sitting there, refreshing the "Just In" tab at 8:55 in the morning waiting to pounce on the latest 3.1 Philip Lim dress on sale for 70 percent off. The truth is I'm a very indecisive shopper. I don't like to spend my money on just anything. I'll put things on hold at the mall and think about my online finds for days before I bust out the credit card. So I shouldn't be surprised when I look on The Outnet during my lunch break to find everything worth buying is already sold out or out of stock in my size. Oh well, maybe one time I'll find love at first fashion sighting.
