So this is the New Year ...

I've never been a fan of making New Year's Resolutions. They always seem to be cursed for failure. But with the most significant decade of my life so far over, it's difficult not to want to at least set some goals for the start of a new decade. In the past 10 years, I've graduated high school and college, felt love and loss for the very first time, lost my virginity, discovered my talents, learned the danger of credit cards and moved on my own. For a positive start to the next 10 years of my life, here's what I want to accomplish in 2010:
Pay off my credit card debt
Take a trip to Paris
Start writing my book
Be a better friend
Take more pictures
Run a marathon
Will I do it all? I sure plan on it.

  1. Well the idea I have is a mystery/finding your identity novel about a girl who wakes up in a hotel room left for dead. I'm flirting with the idea of making her an exotic dancer trying to put herself through college.

  2. Sounds intriguing. What is involved in writing a book anyway? Every once in awhile a thought crosses my mind about doing it but so far it only have been thoughts lol. Good luck with it. Keep us all posted. :)

The whole identity issue is a loaded topic. I have been pondering my own for quite awhile...and maybe it is an on going development...

  3. Ha I'm not quite sure what goes into writing a book myself. This will be trial and error for me. I think more than anything it's about having a really good outline and focus and then being really creative and trying not to stop yourself in the middle too much.

And I think identity is definitely ongoing ... something we all search for but don't know when we've found it.
